Georgie (Georgiana) is a pre-teen princess growing up in a very restricted atmosphere. Her mother, the Queen, tries to make a proper young lady out of her, but Georgie wants more freedom to explore. She has found a baby dragon and has determined with the help of a friend to raise it in secret. Georgie and her friend Cam are eventually discovered returning to the castle, whereupon the King and Queen confine Georgie to the castle and tell the two young friends they may not see each other again. But by this time, the Dragon has grown much larger, and when it leaves the thicket where it has been hidden and approaches the castle looking for Georgie, problems ensue, and Georgie must find a way to sort them out.
